Our Methodology

Step 1
Selection and Evaluation:
➤ Invite employees, stakeholders, and colleagues in the industry to submit nominations for visionary leaders.

➤ Using predetermined parameters* l screen nominees.

Award Selection and Announcement:
➤ The recipients of the Visionary Leadership Award will be formally chosen and announced in light of their outstanding impact, innovation, and accomplishments.

➤ The recipients’ names and achievements will be promoted and amplified through our diverse media channel to inspire others and put their stories out.
Step 2
Expert Assessment:
➤ Assemble an expert panel to assess the credentials and accomplishments of the nominees from a range of fields relevant to visionary leadership.

➤ To objectively evaluate each nominee in relation to the specified criteria, use a scoring system based on the three parameters.
Step 5
Leadership Discussion and Acknowledgment:
➤Invite award winners to a dialog to exchange ideas, best practices, and lessons discovered during their inspirational leadership journey for further continued engagement.
Step 3
Peer Evaluation and Alignment Assessment:
➤ Discuss and confirm the evaluations of the visionary leaders who have been nominated through peer review sessions.

➤ Reach a consensus on the ultimate choice of award recipients through cooperative decision-making.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu - Lifetime Achievement Best Practice Recognition.

One of the world’s greatest icons, ARCHBISHOP DESMOND TUTU, was awarded the Frost & Sullivan Growth Innovation and Leadership (GIL) Lifetime Achievement award at the third annual GIL 2013: Africa conference. Mr Tutu also received the Nobel Peace prize in 1984 and has become a moral voice in the call for equal rights for all South Africans, as well as a system of common education. “We are truly honoured by the Archbishop’s acceptance and proud as a global community of industry visionaries, innovators and leaders to celebrate his lifelong contributions to the world and humanity,” concluded David Frigstad, Chairman of Frost & Sullivan.

Mr. Azim Premji - Visionary Leadership Best Practice Recognition.

Frost & Sullivan hosted the 11th edition of Growth, Innovation and Leadership Summit 2019 India aimed to Uncover the Next Wave of Sustainable Top-line Revenue Growth, Customer Value, and Future of the Connected World on 16th October in Mumbai. The Summit witnessed a phenomenal line up of illustrious industry experts, thought leaders and exchange of stimulating insights. At the Summit Mr AZIM PREMJI, Founder Chairman of Wipro was bestowed with Frost & Sullivan’s ‘GIL Visionary Leadership Award’ for his visionary leadership and philanthropy.

Frost & Sullivan’s GIL India 2017 Summit Discussed Digital Strategies, Emerging Technologies and Business Models Fostering India’s Evolution as a Global Powerhouse. The Summit held on October 05th in Mumbai presented phenomenal sessions by illustrious panelists, Frost & Sullivan industry experts, and thought-provoking insights from various industry luminaries and bureaucrats. This year Frost & Sullivan felicitated Mr KUMAR MANGALAM BIRLA, Chairman, Aditya Birla Group with the “2017: GIL Visionary Leadership Award” for his relentless philanthropical pursuits and his determination in building one of the largest conglomerates in India.

The goal was to harness the power of entrepreneurs to implement market-driven solutions to climate change and create a post-carbon economy. Since there is no Planet B, clean energy and energy efficient technologies will spur the greatest economic opportunities. Leaders and Innovators developed detailed solutions in 6 working tracks, working to eliminate over 16 Gigatons of CO2 emission. Best Practice Recognition, Digital Waste Management (Digital Nepal) - Khaalisisi

KHAALISISI is a socially inclusive waste management platform dedicated to transform Nepal’s waste dumping sector to Waste Management sector. Founded in 2017, it partners with local waste entrepreneurs to buy waste to recycle and save it from ending up in the landfill. Their mission is to help increase the diversion of recyclable materials away from landfills. Waste management is an important element of environmental protection and Frost & Sullivan commends the company for their work in this sector. A zero waste approach conserves natural resources and reduces pollution from extraction, manufacturing and disposal. Khaalisisi team has also received a Best Practice Recognition as part of Digital Nepal, 2018.

Achieving food security and sustainable agriculture practices is of paramount importance in improving livelihoods and accelerating the economic growth of Kenya. The company offers a one-stop-shop platform linking farmers and vendors to boost accessibility to higher-quality fresh and processed foods, ensuring fairer prices and transparent trading activities. With its strong overall performance, Twiga Foods has earned Frost & Sullivan’s 2020 Africa Enabling Technology Leadership Award in Agritech for Economic Development.
